Why does B4 UR SKN® choose NOT to incorporate cocoa or shea butter?

We omitted those two staple items because upon research with other skincare companies, it was always their base and it was cheaper to add those ingredients to their formulations. Especially knowing that these companies only use refined butters and didn’t have to disclose that information per the FDA website. (21 CFR 701.3 – Cosmetic Ingredient Labeling). Also, many people don’t like the smell of the cocoa butter and some stated they have an allergic reaction, which is the same for shea butter - the yellow or the white one. However, unrefined cocoa and shea butter works wonders on the skin. Therefore, if someone ever states they broke out from cocoa or shea butter; it’s because of the process of the fruit butter from unrefined to refined, the cross contamination at the factories, or how the natives produce them.
We wanted to push focus on the active staple ingredient in all our products called Crabwood Oil (aka Andiroba Oil) which the natives of Guyana use as a natural insect/mosquito repellent. The ingredients that we use to make our fruit body butter uniqueness and have a niche in the beauty and skincare industry. The 3 main ingredients are Crabwood Oil, Pequi Fruit, and Kokum Butter which is our stabilizer. We don’t add a preservative because our whole product line are cold-pressed oils and unrefined fruit butters. If we do add a preservative in the future it would be vitamin E in its purest form. Our goal is to keep our skincare essentials as clean as possible w/o the need of cocoa or shea butter.
We are a Cocoa Butter & Shea free skincare line!
In conclusion, there’s nothing wrong with cocoa or shea butter which have amazing benefits and they are from the mother land of Africa.
B4 UR SKN® wants people to know that South America Guyana has natural resources that can heal and moisturize the skin.
